Sounds quite similar to the ZXR, the battery just wouldn't hold charge, and managed to kill a brand new one in a day or so.
The belt was a little tight and supposedly snapped at first and replaced. It did however turn out to be a dodgy alternator (the rec / reg is combined within so was replaced as a unit £50 off eBay), and bobs your uncle.
Any alarms or immobilizer that could be draining the juice? ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

From another thread:
| hmmmnz wrote: | your battery is being charged permanently when you are riding it,
a trickle charger is sweet, and will do no harm, ive never had the need, the zxr is easy enough to bump start,
to check if your charging system is working (this is not recomended by every one, but i've done it to my zxr, although i wouldn't do it to a fi bike) when the bike is running disconnect one of the leads fromn the battery, if the bike dies something is wrong with your charging circuit,
if not then chances are its sweet
still not sorted the bike then?? |

If your 2 year old plus battery is going from charged to flat with the bike stood in a few days, it's knackered. Muck around for as long as you like with a multimeter, it will tell you nothing. Other than you can't sensibly test anything on a bike with a knackered battery.
Low oil will in all likelihood have absolutely nothing to do with it. So there's some good news
