When driving along today, I noticed my speedo died on me Sad

When I went to inspect the cable, I noticed that the rubber had torn in a place, but the cable itself is still in-tact.

Could this me by problem? Just thought id ask before I go removing the wheel to look at the sensor.

I had this problem several times in 2 months on my RS, take the cable off and see if its broken. I do suspect that the tear will be the problem though, if not kick and scream at your bike and stamp on the speedo drive then go to buy a new one!

Also worth taking the speedo drive off before you begin to stamp on it!

No, but you do have to remove it to take out the speedo drive.

The speedo drive on the RS125 can be very short lived for some reason.

All the best

Cheers for the info.. Sorry to seem to stupid, but is the speedo cable a solid cable? (Never played with one before).

Yes it is, it'll be the connected underneath your speedo and straight down to the front wheel, should just unscrew!

Cheers, will play about with it when I get home.
Should I unscrew from the wheel or speedo? (Speedo end looks very aqward to get at!)

Both to get a better look at it, speedo end is very awkward to get at but once undone will just come right off hopefully with the cable in one piece!
