Good Evening,

After failing in my mission to find Fork Gators for my Cougar (I need them to get through the MOT pitting on fork within normal movement range!) I had ago at making a sleve from an old inner-tube but there was to much resistance (the fork would not return to neutral position naturally) So does anyone have any idea for some home made gators or where I get some from before monday! I am in Portsmouth

Sickpup - Thankyou for your input but this is only a temporary measure (MOT monday!) still please send me a link to the Gaiters I searched your shop but no luck!

They're not in the shop, very little is.

Why only a temporary measure. surely you would be better off fitting them when you get new fork legs so this doesn't happen again?

Id be wary of putting anything on my forks. I know someone who did a similar thing, i cant remember exactly what he used but it went into the actual fork and fucked one of the seals up causing it to leak everywhere. Best of doing as pup said and getting proper gaitors to prevent it from happening in the first place.

it might also help if you didn't search for an abbreviation of alligator.

They are, in fact, called fork gaiters.

Although the M and P website appears to spell it both Gaiter and Gaitor... perhaps Gaitor is an americanism.

I always assumed they were the same as the things you wear on your legs... Smile
