is there anyway i can boost my CGs battery, i have a 12v 10a battery going spare and place to put it but how would i wire it in without melting the standard wiring?

or would it be possible to get led indi bulbs that fit in the standard holder?

im getting pissed off with my indis fading when i roll off the throttle even though my battery is fully charged

Cheers
John

The bike will only draw what it needs so size of battery won't matter. Even if you get a short with the standard battery you will get fire and smoke.

Physical size is your limiting factor as to if it fits. Wink

just though it mention physical size before somone said anything bigger wont fit in the battery box.

My battery is fully charged yet the indicators slow down and flash really weak unless im at pretty high revs.

Would LEDs work?

Cheers

Maybe your charging system isnt putting out enough voltage at low end revs? Do you have the right winker bulbs in?

My suggestion would be to go for a new, standard battery first. Even if yours is fully charged, it may be old and busted and fully charged. The piddly little batteries on kick-start bikes can really go off in terms of performance but you do not realise because they never have any real big load on them (headlight, electric starter etc.)

i can fit my 12 12 in the flash bang crate on the back with a good mount so would it be advisable to run it as a parallel battery with a fuse in line?

Cheers

It's worth a shot - my concern would be that if the charging system lacks the beans to keep the standard battery charged, it'll struggle with a higher rated one or even more so with two.

What I'd do is charge up your "better" battery, mount it up temporarily, disconnect the old one and run a wire up to the new one. See how it gets on. Easy to swap back if it doesn't work.

Stick a fuse the same rating as the existing one near the battery if you are worried about small electrical fires Smile.
