Anyone ever had this from their girl/boyfriend?

Have been putting a few quid away every week to buy an RXS 100 which my mate is very kindly holding onto for me - this week I declined to go out for a few beers with her so I could put some more money away instead, and she went mental at me.

For feck's sake, it's not like we ever meet anyone good in the pub anyway, we may as well sit at home and drink Laughing

You can always point out that apparently the pub is more important than you are...

My Mrs says it every now and again, more as a joke really as she know's that I love my hobby (bikes).

I tend to give her a funny look and say "do you really want me to answer that! Laughing "

She recently mentioned that I might need to sell them as we are looking to move house. The words "They are not going anywhere" came from my mouth before she'd finished her sentence!

Laughing

Thumbs Up

my misses knows excactly how I would feel about her putting any sentences like that together, we had a couple of mates years back and his GF said to him... its me ot the bike. he sold his bike they split up a few months later), I said to Angela (me julie) whilst looking her straight in the eye never utter them words out of you're mouth to me. its not that one means more than the other, Its why would she want to give me an ultimatum? to this day 20 years later she has never ever said anything like that to me. And never will.

TheBassJunky in my humble opinion you are doing something for yourself, you are learning one great rule, if you want something so bad, you save and make sacrifices to get what you want, you're not out on the rob... you work for you're dream and you have my utmost respect for that..I know its abit of a waffle but these things mean a lot to me. all the very best Thumbs Up

I've been told many times I love my bike to much, I just say you can't understand unless you owned one.

And your in trouble for saving money? Normally the problem comes when you spend it Razz.

If anyone says that, they are being a bit silly. . . I mean using a bike as a scapegoat, its not confronting thr real issue is it, and won't get you anywhere? That or they are plain insecure or attention seeking.

My X used to do it with my son. 'He is number one and I want to be your number one' . . . . . . .well basically, he wasn't grown up enought to understand or accept different relationships/influences.

Can't be bother with that kind of poo.

She knows they are. Laughing

Even more so now I have the Mille, on the flip side she goes off and buys expensive designer bags. Laughing

Got to be give and take, if she ever scratches my bike I'll burn one of her bags. Cool

I finished with someone not so long back because he said I was out too much on the bike and put it before everything else. He obviously didn't understand the relationship between a biker and his/her bike. I have been much happier without him as no-one questions where I am going etc, etc Very Happy

My GF loves that I've got a bike, as it means I can come to see her, and don't complain since it's a nice ride, and she thinks I look fit in my leather jacket Thumbs Up

She hasn't really tried anything along the lines of "me or the x" since she got pissed off with me for visiting my grandma with my brothers and I told her to fuck off. (That looks harsh written down, but its the best thing that happened to us in a way)

At the moment I am struggling to find any man who actually lives up to the bike, ie, doesn't complain when I go out without him, never questions me about where I have been or what time I will be back and actually does as he is told Laughing

I was told that I spend more time on the bike than with an ex bf, that is why he is now an ex.

Well you are obviously easily pleased with women then if a CBR125 floats yer boat.

Shell likes bikes, she just doesn;t like the thought of me dying. Fair enough she wouldn't want me to have a bike, but she wouldn't stop me, or criticise me for getting one.

If anything she hates the stupid money I spend on PC's more.
