A very quick one for you, I'm off to Dam tomorrow for 3 days with a few mates and want to know where are the best places to go and see. If you have been over there and seen some cool things let me know.

The ann frank house is cool if you like history...
I went there a couple of years ago for a long weekend .
https://www.channels.nl/amsterdam/annefran.html
Got shite faced one late afternoon then took a boat ride around the city, also had a meal on it... twas a great day
Amsterdam is lovely at night, the locals come out very late at night (on peds racing around the city) usually when most of the tourist have disappeared.
highly recommend the place ____________________ latest bike 03 R1 in zee red and black |

Errr. Well. Coffeeshops, headshops, red light district, sex shows, crack heads hassling you on the streets, Febo.
Print out this map, it's very very useful. https://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/ACDfrmGu.html?ACDpage=General/Map.html
Get lost, you can always follow the tramlines back to central station (unless you can't find any tramlines in which you're properly lost )
Crackheads, dickheads, and other pondlife will hassle you trying to sell you coke, e's, speed, etc etc etc. Ignore them and don't even acknowledge their presence.
Febo, you must go to.
McDonalds you must not go to!!
Heineken brewery/museum/whatever-its-called is worth a visit, mainly because on the tour you get given beers on the way round.
You have to go to Barneys, they've actually passed a new law out there recently that states all tourists must go to one of the Barneys Coffeshops at least once per day that you're in the country. Not following that law would be retarded cos Barneys is the greatest. Ever.
Watch out for trams! They will jump out of the shadows and scare the shit out of you as they go "ding ding" which means get the hell out the way right now. Also watch out for cyclists, there's quite a few of them around Watch out for cars, motorbikes and vans using the pavements. They don't follow the same rules of the roads as well do and to be honest I don't think they follow any rules at all.
Police don't really exist out there but you probably want to avoid smoking in public in front of cops as they don't like it.
Smuggling anything home, you're very unlikely to be stopped on your way home but they have sniffer dogs (faulty ones in my experience but you don't really know) and they stop dodgy looking people and ask to look through your stuff.
Try not to leave the inside lights on in your car as when you return to the carpark you then won't be going anywhere.
Have fun. |

You have got to rent out some bicycles. It is such a good way to get around. We nearly killed ourselves so many times on those bikes. It was really fun and we had such a laugh on them (they don't have brakes as we know them - you got to pedal backwards to slow down!). I nearly got taken out by a moped (guy was cursing and swearing at me) and my friend went into a one way cycle lane the wrong way and smashed into an old lady on her bicycle. Fantastic!
Have fun! |

Pffft, you don't want to carry brownies home, you want to eat those before going into the airport after having a spliff. You just want to bring the 'ingredient' home with you.
Renting bikes is brave, , its dangerous enough being on foot around there when stoned, whilst it'd be amusing on bikes for a short time, I reckon it'd be quite likely to result in death or serious injury for one of us.
Pedal boats is amusing and you just have to watch out for barges and boats which are much slower than trams are. Plus you can skinup in a pedal boat, you can't skinup whilst dodging trams cycling. |
