As you all probably know, I got myself a lovely new bike today, so I thought I'd get a few pictures and show it off!

It's a 1999 Yamahaha R6, with clear indicators, Akrapovic can, double bubble screen and just under 25k on the clocks. Small plate too, which will be going asap.

In great condition for its age, though needs abit of attention due to it being stood for a while uncovered, calipers seem to be binding a touch so I will get those cleaned out, lots of meat on the pads though! I think braided lines and new tyres will be my first mods, so nobody tempt me with anything else! (Especially you Type_mo!)

Why can't I get aroused by an R1/R6?

A bargains a bargains a bargains so Thumbs Up just hope that it turns out a little better than the effort that was the SRAD.

Nice, looks tidy. Been thinking about cutting my undertray down like that, might actually do it now, looks much better. Thumbs Up

Not sure about that blue screen but it aint a major thing to sort I suppose.

I know, the screen was another thing on my list. I don't know why you both don't like R6s, but I think they are the best looking 600 of that particular year/price range.

Me too WTD, me too. All sorted now though, goes live on eBay in just over an hour. Sad

Going to keep the seat and can as they are at the moment I think, and I don't actually know what the undertray looked like before!

Cheers for the comments guys!

Ah, my GSXR undertray looks like that!

Tidy bike that Scouse, yours?

Can't decide whether to get a numberplate slogan on the new plate, either:

Six tenths of a litre R1 eater!

or

If you pass me I will follow you home and shit in your slippers.

Decisions, decisions! Thinking

I was going to say the first one, but then the more I read the second, the more I laugh. So it's the second one that gets my vote Thumbs Up

I think its a wise choice, though I'm wondering what the plod will say if they see it! Hopefully they will have a sense of humour about it!

I like the way your rims are painted, my Leeds United supporting mate would love them! I'm glad my rims are black to be honest, less cleaning required! Laughing

Yeah I used to think they were ace but just lately I'm sick of them Laughing Still love the polished rims but can't stand the blue and yellow spokes anymore. Luckily they're due for a respray so I've just got to think of what colour. Might just do the spokes completley yellow. Should look good with the rims. Plus it keeps it that bit more individual.

Yeah that might be good, bit different like you say.

Just wish I could ride mine, its so nice to ride in comparison to my Gixxer, and definitely the best looking 600 of the time. What a frigger!

Sad

Swapsies for my kwak - it'll go with my Nori Haga replica suit nicely! By far the best colour for yamaha is its corporate red, because it looks like the R7 supers.

If i were to get an R1- i mite be tempted to turn it into an R7 replica. and have it sprayed in those colours. Rolling Eyes
