charged up the battery 2day to start the zx for the 1st time in bout 8 months (crash rebuild) eveythin seemed ok, alarm, dash etc all as normal. went to turn her over an all i got was just this faint 'machine gun like' sound from under neath the tank in the enginebay, this eventually died?
any ideas??
starter motor had it?
duff battery charger? ( ive had battery die on the gsxr an sounds the same as it did then wen i tryed to start it, so prehaps the charger is buggered? an hence battery has no power)
i drained the tank. an put fresh fuel in by the way..

ok, batterys fine now, the main problme was i forgot to connect a plastic connector underneath the clutch lever! it hasent fired into life yet but the engine is now turnin over, an huffin a n puffin out of the exhaust a little, 2 BIG BANGS as well with flames! but i think i ran the battery down a bit to much fannyin about with it b4 i found the connection that i hadnt ut together, turnin the alarm on an off etc....
il charge the battery to max again an try 2mora

right , it now starts an sounds sweet, BUT:
although it sounds purposeful it also sounds pretty friggin lumpy, burbley etc, it comes up to temp fine. i ran it to 100 c an ther were no leaks but it wont idle, if i let go of the throttle it dies, but starts again fine?.....
it now has a full titanium race system (leo vince) an it hasent bin set up at all yet , (b4 the crash it was standard apart from a remus end can) and it has bin sittin for about 8 months (with the carbs an airbox off) without being started, so carbs are probly a little out of shape anyways so that wont help....
wot happens to carbs wen there left sittin incidently, do they collect moisture or?
any ideas peeps?

ok started it again a minute ago, started up no probs, all the manifold pipes are the same temp, no probs there, i havent tryed to turn the bars an see if it revs, but will do asap... il haveto have a look at the throttle asembly on the carb itself, an give it a good old clean! ____________________ those who risk nothing, become nothing, achieve nothing....
