I'm scared of a 125 cruiser!!!

I have been asked to test ride a 125 cruiser for a mate. Obviously i dont want to crash, so is the riding position difficult to get used to from more normal bikes? Or do you reckon i will jump on and be fine

It's awkward but you get used to it quickly. U-turns are a bitch.

they are a bit odd, just take your time. If its heel-toe gearchange just be very careful! they take some getting used to!

Souldnt be a problem really, Theres no weight in them though so if the winds anything like it s up here watch yourself

Again if its the heel + toe gearchange i'd stick to using the toe end as normal

Fear brings respect.
They are easy to ride for a few reasons; really comfy, no punch-your-face-in power curves. And the handling is generally really un-obtrusive. You'll be fine

You should be fine, I rode my brothers 50cc cruiser without any problems and most of them tend to use very similar / the same frames so weights not really a problem especially hen you are so low down meaning you can easily have your feet touching the floor.

My 125cc cruiser weighs 120kg dry, and 12 litres of fuel as well and it turns into a pretty heavy 125!

As for riding them... not a problem! They are easy, like riding an armchair! The weight is generally low to the ground, so you shouldn't really notice it unless your stationary or going very slowly... and yes, U turns can be a bugger.

A few other 125cc cruiser riders have said to me in te past that you can't counter-steer them, but I've never had this problem, in fact I normally counter-steer.

Do any 125s actually have heel and toe gearchange? ...don't think I've ever seen one....

Went on it today - no heel and toe change found it easy apart from turning and not finding foot rests.

Don't think my mate is having it so am going to list in on here for the seller as he seemed very genuine and bike was decent.

That Hyosung GV650 I had was about 215kg.

I swear it was easier to ride than the GS500 I did my test on. Probably down to the low C.O.G.

Only bad thing was the fact that my heels hit the floor when cornering.

I Own a gz125 and it is by far the best of the three motorcycles i have owned a fair amount of power in it and excellent fuel consumption and the handling is so good it make you wanna just keep cornering all day long.... you'll have no problems...
