I have been thinking about this recently quite a lot - more because I actually have a hard time keeping weight on! and there is so many people that have a hard time keeping it off. but then again, i guess i have a very active lifestyle and couldn't imagine it being any other way.

Fattiness is a closed system, so when god created people, there was probably some improper distribution of fat, hence why you have fat people in a well to do country and skinny people in somalia - it's an imbalance.

Conservation of fatty-fatty-boom-boom states that there is an equal amount of fat in the world. SO at the dawn of creation, there was exactly the same amount of fat as there will be at the end of the world. Fat cannot be destroyed or created, it can be converted and transferred through various media. That's something i learnt at my national curriculum when i was in year 10! SO maybe they'll teach that someday eh?

so what??! I'll tell you so what! Next time you walk into a Club *this would be more applicant to you because you live in America* .. And immediately a large percentage of the girls are no longer an option for you because they have let their grubby mitts get on one too many pies in there time.. where then you look for the percentage that fit the profile your looking for but then you have to get past the fat friend who wont let you near the fit one because she's pissed off she cant get a shag because she looks mank!

Where then you are left with an even smaller amount of women that you want to go for, but the becuase of the scarce amount.. the demand is high! And pretty much every guy in the club is going for these girls so your chances are even more slimmer.

Whats worse is these small fraction of girls know this and get on there high horse and think there "the sh*t" then act to up themselves which is a bit unattractive and you just think --> there not gonna be worth the effort anyway.

So then whats left.... The rare breed which carries some modesty .. a slender figure.. and a pretty face, which you may come across (IF SHE DOES NOT HAVE A F*CKIN BF!) a very small amount of times in your life - and lifes too short for that!

all because some birds didn't look after themselves in there time..

....thats just one example of many

Excuse the primitive terminology .. and don't think I'm shallow - lose some weight!

My calorie intake per day far exceeds what needs to be spent. I've gained quite a bit of a gut since my diet merely consists of bread, cheese, meat, salad dressing, lots of instant sort of stuff and merely not enough cardio to burn off the fat. My idea of exercise is a 200 yard jog to tescos and 20 press ups per night Shocked as such - i'm now a 35" waist! Not good if i'm only 5'8

Im 28" waist
38" Chest

I eat alot of Junk food every day at work. Wake up to cereal, Get to work and before lunch im up the shop.

I do about 5 or 6 cans of Coke a day
2 or 3 bags of chocolate buttons
A Bacon or chicken roll for lunch
usually a bag of crisps and the odd pack of sweets
most days I will eat a full packet of Chocolate digestive biscuits with my coffee`s too.

So obesity isn't down to the food, its down to exercise. I work on cars all day so im constantly moving heavy parts around and fitting them on to cars etc. I then go out riding the bike most nights. And most of you know how I ride.

I also BMX a LOT in the summer.

nothing wrong with being fat, there is something worng about complaining about being fat. its your fault you were stuffing your fat face with pies rather than going down to the gym.

Gotta love Fire's last post Laughing

I'm 5"9, 30 waist and the only thing I want to do is put on some weight but my metabolism aint giving it up. I work out as and when and lift fairly heavy stuff at work at work but simply can't find the time to eat, or know exactly what foods to eat although Titz gave some inspiration.... Smile

It's the car and bikes fault.

Ever since I owned a mode of transport that required no energy I put on loads. Laughing

update, after doing some extensive sitting up and downs and going to the toilet, i've now reverted back to my 33" figure, what i was meant to say was that i was 35-ish inches in summer when i went back to indonesia and just kept eating and driving - no exercise. My old man was 80kg, was forced to cut down eating and run and do exercise to reduce cholesterol. now he's a healty 73kg, 34", meaning i can share jeans and suits with my old man, although he is only 5'4/5 (small fella, like mister miyagi) so i'm considerably taller than him at 5'8. I think height has something to do with the impression of being fat. there more space to hide the fat but its far less evident. I was also told that there's no point on working on muscle tone if you dont do the cardio to burn off the fat. Something i'm just not justified to do! My mate who plays for lufbra uni 1st b-ball said that i had a toned stomach which was quite surprising but about an inch of fat on top - sort it out! I'm just not bothered to go and sign up to a gym because of the costs, but if ever i'm given the opportunity to use the gyms facilities, i take it. Some people matabolise food quicker than others, namely me, because i poop at least 3 times a day meaning that have to eat more. As much as i don't like being ill, a good benefit is that it uses up fat reserves. But it's not the best way to go about keeping a trim figure.

Now i have a diet of fruit, salad, sushi, cereals and quick pasta/stir fry. Feeling fitter that i have been i recent times too when coupled with exercise.

ive always had a weight problem, was a chunky baby and am a chunky adult, ive dieted, had bouts of eating disorders been unhappy im not a slender twig, my sister and mother are tiny, i am not, i was the one always given a hard time and accused of sneaking sweets etc.
What they fail to take into account is, my maternal grandmother was like a sparrow, both my sister and mother look like her, my father and his side are chunky big boned people and i take after them, no amount of dieting will make that much difference to me im afraid, when im a size 14 i look like a bag of chunky bones, im fit though and at 45 have the calcium bone density of a woman half my age.
my partner loves me as i am, am happy in my skin which seems to have less wrinkles than skinny not celeb surgically enhanced people my age, when people look fabulous they tend not to have to try too hard to actually be nice or interesting, if looks are the main thing what happens if for some reason they are destroyed etc,

i have to say though really fat people who eat utter crap and are rolling barrels of lard are a different thing entirely
