Busa build quality is fine mate all alloy frame none of your steel cradle shite I looked at the same options as you are but I just wanted a project with nothing specific in mind and the Busa just happened to come in at the right price.
Personally I think the Blackbird whilst superior to everything else in build quality is let down being dull to look at and showing it's age, I know the Busa's a marmite bike you either love them or hate them but that's one reason why I like them. The ZZR is a Kwak and the feeling I get is they are great bikes but more of an enthuasists machine you need to love them and look after them so it'll love you back.
I reckon in the real world performance is going to be similar unless your going to drag it, so it all comes down to what you want out of it, if you want a comfy mile muncher that will go on for ever then its got to be the honda, if you want a lairy roughian that will need fettling every now and again then the kwak, if you want to split opinion then the busa.
Only you can chose you need to get a ride on them and see which one spanks yer monkey ____________________ Busa Junkie |

Im in the same biased boat as Vee. I havent ridden the zzr1200 or a busa so i know feck all about them other than what i've read (which is that the busa goes well and the zzr1200 is pants).
I've got an injected blackbird thats over 5 years old and it feels newer than my old bike that was barely 2 years old. It just feels like a quality bit of kit, i can point it down any road and it handles it with ease.
I commute everyday on mine and although its a bit heavy on fuel it handles the task just fine, if your commute involves dual carriageways/motorway your sorted on the bird.
For pillions my missus says the bird is really comfy at the rear.
Riding the blackbird is like riding some sort of turbine, it just purrs and pulls your face off in any gear at virtually any speed.
Your best bet is to get a test ride on all of them and make your mind up, but i expect your choice will really come down to busa or bird. ____________________ Cbr1100xx blackbird gone, mk4 golf gt tdi chav now

Both the 'busa and the 'bird have incredibly strong engines. The 'busa stock engine can easily handle 300hp and the stock crank more than 500hp.
The 'busa has more power and amazing mid-range stomp whereas the 'bird has better build quality more comfort and is cheaper on consumables. Right now there are a lot of used 'busas on the market because of the new model release a few weeks ago. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Obviously I'm biased, but it is an awesome package. Given that it's an 11 year old bike design and the last major change was in 1999 (and that was only really injection), it's still up there, still high in the Rider Power survey too. I reckon it's testament to how good a design it was in the first place, other bikes have surpassed it, but only in one category at a time, nothing is nearly as complete. The only issue I had was the reach to the bars, at 5'10" I found it was a bit much, but fitting VFR bars fixed that.
It will ruin your life though! I've had mine for a good few years now and I'd love a new bike, having always changed at least every couple of years, but I make my plans and get to the brink of changing but then back out 'cos I can't bring myself to get rid of the 'Bird'.
Ahh well, maybe next winter........ ____________________ I was only doing what it said on my licence officer....
