8 quid for parking and they're going bust Its a rip off when you think of how much the entrance fee to most shows is.
Then again I've never understood why people are happy to pay to go into a show to buy stuff. |

I always go by train but then I do perhaps drink a little more than is healthy. Always tend to have a ruck sack full by the time I head back to London for some more drinky-poo's.
Never had a problem by train. Houston to Birmingham International, £37.00 with Virgins. ____________________ My mum smells your fingers |

Just get the train to Birmingham International. This is for both the airport (monorail transfer to the airport) and the NEC, it'll take you minutes to walk to the NEC from the train station, it's all indoors and signposted past lots of coffee shops/sandwich shops.

Yes, because;
a) You can drink
b) You can actually buy stuff and bring it home.
c) You don't have to worry about your bike being stolen or damaged
d) You don't have to wear your bike stuff all day
e) You can sleep all the way home |
Hmmmmm.
a) You can drink
Not if your driving a car. (Unless you meant Coke, which I could on the bike)
b) You can actually buy stuff and bring it home.
Yeahh Car wins, but I had a large back pack, plus a large holdall, held down with 40" bungies. (Hold a lot)
c) You don't have to worry about your bike being stolen or damaged
Hmm no, bike security was top rate, i'd worry more about the car being nicked.
d) You don't have to wear your bike stuff all day
That's what "Riders for health" are for , think they charged me £2 to look after my lid, think it was another £1 for jacket.
e) You can sleep all the way home
Guess your a passenger in a car, or the last stop of a train. ____________________ I've a twin and a 4.

Hi,
I went up in the girlfriend's car. I had to take clothes and smellies etc as I was working on the Benelli stand and had to stay at a hotel. I say hotel but what I meant was a tiny pub in Coleshill which came top of the list on yell.com when I searched for NEC hotels.
Twas my first time at the NEC and I quite enjoyed it. Bloody expensive for grub though. If you're going try the Wetherspoons 12oz burger, £9 but its VERY meaty, it has actual beef would you believe!

I went up there on my bike and the security was indeed top rate, plus i used the riders for health lid van so i didnt have to carry that around.
Only problem with taking bike is either not being able to carry stuff (but most offer delivery anyway) or that most of the journey for me anyway is motorway, which is just boring. ____________________ My Bike Pics |
