Right I got my eyes on a pair of Alpinestars S-MX Plus boots.
But I am also liking the Sidi Vertigo.
Has any got a pair of the Vertigo boots if so what are they like ?
Or would you recommend another pair?
My last pair was the Teknic lightnings and they have lasted me ages.

I'd go for the Sidi Vertigos, planning on getting some off flea gay when my moneh comes through on the 5th of December.
I tried on the pair of Oxtar's i was originally after at the NEC and found them to be too small around the calf and of course the Sidi's have got their funky adjustable system.
Ridden in them a couple of times by borrowing my mate's pair in Dubai, very comfy and good ventilation which is what you want in somewhere warm. I personally wouldn't stretch the Corsas even if i had the money, doesn't seem a point to paying that much extra for another strap across the top of your foot. Do it

Those are the pair i'm bidding on, brand new. Only selling them because they don't fit. £100. Haven't got the luxury of vertigo's but i've got the sidi vertebra, from all the boots i've tried on they fit like socks and weigh next to nothing, and considerably good in wet weather aswell ____________________ Harley XR1200 |

Got these. Very good comfortable boot. Get a feeling the sole is wearing a bit thin too quickly, in fact, Hetzer's night have worn through
Apart from that a cracking boot. Had a pair of SMXs before and the Sidis are more comfortable and much more adjustable. |

Everyone natters on about the SMX, so they must have something going for them, never owned a pair so i couldent say. What do own though is a pair of Sidi Goretex B2's:
https://www.superbikeitalia.com/products/thumb_128200761258pm.jpg
Completely Waterproof (i mean 10 hours of pouring rain and your socks are still dry waterproof). All day comfortable, Look ok.
Whatever you get i reckon its worth shelling out for goretex something or other... I remember when i used to ride in my old Gaerne Race boots, when i was riding somewhere and in the distance you can see the rainclouds, the one thing on my mind was "FUCK im gonna get soaking feet and the boots wont be dry for a couple of days"... Now if i get caught out without me waterproofs its a case of "Oh well my legs will get wet"...
Oh my sidi's also squeak like a bastard... buts its all part of the magic |

Got to say i prefer my oxtar tcs boots to my old sidis.
Never got on with the sidi's, didnt seem to fit right and the build quality didnt seem to fit the £180 cost.
Oxtars are much comfier and fit better but do squeak like a bitch, used every day for a year and still in good nick ____________________ Past: '96 Thundercat, '02 ZX636R (A1P), '58 KTM 690 SM LC4 Current: '06 ZX636R (C6F)

An almost brand newsidi Vertigo, not helping .
Apart from that (not sure any boot would have done much) seemed decent enough. |
