I am just looking into the travel insurance bit for my trip to Spain & France next year. My normal bike insurance covers the bike and us but any advice on personal insurance would be good.

I looked for ages and be careful when checking policies as a lot of them list biking as a dangerous activity and you either need an extended cover or they just don't cover you.

Post office was the best i found Thumbs Up

Carole Nash travel insurance - specifically for biking holidays. It cost me about £35 for a two week tour of europe. Well worth the piece of mind.

Carol Nash is quite good for how they specifically cover stuff getting nicked from your panniers etc.

When I went to Souther Ireland in the summer I bought three days worth of medical/personal insurance off The Post Office for about £5.

You can do it on line through The Post Office website- very simple.

It specifically says motorcycle holidays/tours are covered.

Another vote here for the post office - you don't need to pay extra for a "dangerous activity" with them, and they were quite cheap for going to France.

Have they removed the clause which states cover only for motorcycles UNDER 125cc? That alone put me off.
