Hi all,
after all the problems i had with 34mm carb, i gave up & put standard carb back on.
bike started 1st time!
so i guess batterys ok! (see previous posts)
bike ran idling for a while,
while i tightened up everything.
nipped indoors for helmet so i could go for a test run,
& when i came back out, it had conked out!
checked carb bowl, full of petrol, but floats look ok.
epmtied it, cleaned it & put carb back on.
now wont start,
coughs now & again but nothing else.
any ideas?
checked obvious,
kill switch,
battery,
petrol in tank.
so what next?
any advice/suggestions welcome,
cheers,
GAZ

If your spark plug is wet then this indicates that fuel is not necessarily the problem. Try a new spark plug (correctly gapped) and see if 1. there is a spark. 2. if it will run.
Good luck Very Happy

hi,
tried a new spark plug.
the one i removed was wet?
anyway, definately getting a spark! (tested against frame)
but bike still wont start,
coughs as if about to start, but then nothing.
when i tip the carb, petrol pours out,
so fuel going into carb ok.
that rules out fuel line.
any more ideas?
cheers,
GAZ
