i got this engine off ebay 8 months ago and havent started it but was planning to tommorw untill i came across this problem!

Your clutch plates will be stuck together , time to strip them down I'm afraid.
Make sure you re new the gasket as well , and also clean up both surfaces prior to re fitting.
Thumbs Up

Foot slips off the kickstart , the kickstart then goes up your trouser leg , you and the bike then proceed to fall over in a heap on the floor...... Wink

Start it with the front wheel against a wall and drop her into gear with the clutch in.

Striping a clutch should not take long.

Ok so you have the cover off , right ?
Next you get a flat bladed screwdriver between each plate and loosen them off (pry them apart a bit), simple as that.
Removeing all the plates from a Cg clutch requires a special tool which cost £15 , but just doing the screwdriver trick should sort them out.
Thumbs Up

All the plates should be free to move on there own , you will find that they will all be stuck as "one" becuase of standing over time , And also having no oil between them.
