i will be getting a new bike in january/february time hopefully but im a bit stuck on what to get. ive got a tight budget, 1500 quid tops

so far its between a

cb 400 superfour

vfr 400

ive also been looking at the sv650 but wondering what insurance is going to be like for a 19 year old rider (three years no claims but on cbt, only just got full license)

so whats the best in terms of comfort (i do a fair few 45 minute rides a week) ability to cruise, performance etc.

any niggles with any of these bikes?

any help is greatly appreciated and will be rewarded with some gold.

Sv is a lower insurance group than the VFR400, is comfortable and practical.

I do however have a VFR400 for sale at £1400 ono in the bikes for sale section, which is very nice and would suit you very well I think!

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Hornet 6 Wink

Insurance group is higher than the SV I think but the insurance for me on TPFT being 18 with 1 years no claims was only 500 Thumbs Up

Good fun too Mr. Green

Only bad thing is the fuel consumption methinks...

Watch for dodgy electrics (notably reg/recs) on the 400 imports.

I'd say NC30, but the Superfour/CB1 is tempting for, on average, £500 or so less.
