It does look cool. I've just seen some of the other shots and it looks good from behind. Not a big naked bike fan or a 'retro' fan but this is nice.

Personally, as soon as I saw the shots in MCN, I thought - yes. Doesn't matter to me about horse power figures or handling issues - reminds me of those lazy Sunday afternoon scenery-enjoying cruises on my 400/4. Although if it produced Bandit 1200 performance, that would be nice.

Hope those pipes/mudguards are chromed as well. Lovely.

If it handles anything like my Dad's CB350, I'd buy one. It's strong point is that it's very forgiving to ride, and can handle just about any road condition you can throw at it.

What, pointless mods like aftermarket suspension modifications, improved power delivery, modern day brakes? Fair enough, I'll never recover from my carbon fibre fetish...maybe a classic looking bike will help alleviate some symptons...

So you wouldn't think that Ohlins suspension, a higher quality exhaust system and braided lines with decent brake pads on, say a Suzuki TL won't make much improvement for road use?

It's generally considered that 90% of Japanese import 400s have knackered, 15 year + suspension components, setup for feather weight Jap riders, poorly maintained brake systems and bikes that sound like dysons as stock. I see every performance modification on my bike as a general improvement, and the lack of outright power of the machine allows me to utilise those improvements any time (once in a blue moon) I take the bike out. There's nothing better than having a bike tailored to your exacting requirements and riding environment.
