I hope they put this into production, one new bike I could honestly consider buying.

Looks so much like my 400/4.

Its taking Honda back 20 years, to that classic look, but with all the benefits of todays technology.

Looks cool as fvck in my opinion - though to be fair, I dont know many other 19 year olds that pine after a yellow 400/4 at Stafford Bike show (and i dont think it was there in october Sad )

It does look cool. I've just seen some of the other shots and it looks good from behind. Not a big naked bike fan or a 'retro' fan but this is nice.

If you want a retro bike, buy a retro bike. If you want a modern bike, buy a modern bike. That's a messy mixture of the two.

And the tank looks awful.

It does look pretty good, but wouldnt perform either of the things I need my next new bike to do; tour and scratch.

Better looking than the other "muscle" bikes out there at least!

It's good to see bike manufacturers recognising the power of the pink pound...

Personally, as soon as I saw the shots in MCN, I thought - yes. Doesn't matter to me about horse power figures or handling issues - reminds me of those lazy Sunday afternoon scenery-enjoying cruises on my 400/4. Although if it produced Bandit 1200 performance, that would be nice.

Hope those pipes/mudguards are chromed as well. Lovely.

Very retro looking and if all that is chrome, i hope to god they have improved the process over the stuff they used to use.....

Rear looks almost cruisser ish and front tourer, seems a odd mix.

If it handles anything like my Dad's CB350, I'd buy one. It's strong point is that it's very forgiving to ride, and can handle just about any road condition you can throw at it.

Unlike you, i dont seem to have an endless cash amount to dispose on pointless tart mods for 15 year old bikes Wink so i made a 'financial' decesion and put the money i made from the CBR6RR (i had that after the 749 ) into a savings account for either a deposit on a flat or a nicer car.

and the TLR is great, even better on track.

I've never got along with conventional "popular" bikes as objects of fun or desire.

It's 17 years old Wave Wink What, pointless mods like aftermarket suspension modifications, improved power delivery, modern day brakes? Fair enough, I'll never recover from my carbon fibre fetish...maybe a classic looking bike will help alleviate some symptons...

So you wouldn't think that Ohlins suspension, a higher quality exhaust system and braided lines with decent brake pads on, say a Suzuki TL won't make much improvement for road use?

It's generally considered that 90% of Japanese import 400s have knackered, 15 year + suspension components, setup for feather weight Jap riders, poorly maintained brake systems and bikes that sound like dysons as stock. I see every performance modification on my bike as a general improvement, and the lack of outright power of the machine allows me to utilise those improvements any time (once in a blue moon) I take the bike out. There's nothing better than having a bike tailored to your exacting requirements and riding environment.
