2004 Blade flooding?

Anyone give any tips or pointers re this?

A mate of ours has a 2004 blade and is having some serious problems with it.

It would run for about 2 miles then cut out and not restart. On checking the plugs they were wet. Replacing the plugs has just led to the same thing with the new ones. This has happened a few times and the bike has usually started up again after a day ot two of not trying to get it going, but now it won't go at all.

Any ideas I could pass on to him? The bike is injection not carbs.......

LOL I very nearly did at the Welsh show this year, only for Sickpup I'd have probably made a very expensive mistake.......

You will need to get a manual.
If it's like the 2003 model.
I think there is a connector under the seat that you disconnect and short
it then turn the key on and count how many beebs it makes.
It will go trough a check and if something is wrong it will beeb X amount
of times.You will need the list to refare to.

Is it fuel injected?
Sometimes fuel injected bikes have an oxygen sensor in the exhaust to tell the ECU to adjust the fuel air mixture accordingly.

2004 cbr600rr's all run rich as standard and can be leaned out a bit with a good power comander and filter and exhaust change. just a bit of info there, i dont know if the same applys for the 1000's.
