Caberg V2 because it was cheap, comfortable and has a built in sun-visor which is a GODSEND.

Originally intended to go for a cheaper lid like an AGV K but hated the fit and soso feel of it, so I started looking at HJCs and was almost sold on the FS-10 with the slidy visor thing but after seeing a group of returns all with the same sunvisor fault I made the mistake of trying an arai on Thumbs Up

https://www.phoenixnw.co.uk/images/arai/chaser/chaser_camo_silver.jpg

£325 quid later, looks the business with a black visor and black gear/jeans, now I just need a non granddad of bike so I don't look daft Wink

X-601 x-lite (although not in this design or colour - mine is blue & white)

Have it because after trying on Shoei's Arai, AGV's etc in HG, this was the one that fitted best. Nice and light too.

For a 'flagship' helmet it is good value too.

Another Shoei XR1000 here. My previous helmet was a Raid 2 and i had a dark visor for it so i stuck to the same brand. I chose it as it does consistantly well in the Ride magazine reviews and i liked the easy visor change mechanism.

White helmet with black visor Cool

AGV Stealth -

Looks cool, feels cool, and fit's well (Except for getting my ears to stay flat!)

Exactly the same as the pic, though I don't have problems with getting my ears to stay flat lol

Shoei XR1000 Matt Black - Bought it when I was naive and thought Shoei and Arai were the only way to go. Fits really well. Now relegated to riding off the road.

https://i20.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/ca/cb/9901_1.JPG

Caberg Justissimo GT '07 - Needed a flip lid, and it was the only one I liked It fitted well and looked like it had the best locking mechanism, so I bought it. Sun visor should be fitted to more lids. Stood up to hitting tree branch at 30ish!

https://www.caberg-helm.com/Products/00%20apribili/00%20justissimo%20gt_abcde_ahcbkutgpdnsijf_a_b/m001_01.jpg

HJC HQ-1 Carbon - Looks mean with a mirror visor and the information regarding test data I saw me ticks all the boxes. Second best fitting helmet I've ever worn. Oh, and it was on sale for £149.99.

https://www.hjc-europe.com/hjc_eng/Bilder/helme/hq1/HQ1_SOLID_CARBON_.jpg

HJC CL-14 Fuse - It was less than £30 and again test data ticked the boxes. Best fitting helmet I've ever worn - I swear I could sleep with it on if I wanted. Doesn't look bad either.

Ditto, except I wish it was quieter. I usually ride with earplugs, so it's not a huge deal, but I'd like to be able to just pop the lid on without fumbling with the plugs.

shoei xr1000 in matt black - because it fits really well and a long line of bikers in the family told me shoei was the only way to go if your serious !!! and i like matt black !

before that I had a caberg with the flip down sunvisor bit, which is great in the summer but very noisy, it did look after me as i bounced of a ford focus though !!!

before that some cheap tat that i got free with the first bike !!!! i keep this as a spare now !!!

And another here, though i broke the lever arm off the sun visor the first time i took it out for a clean (well, when i was putting it back in). I'm now terrified if i fork out for a new one I'll break that too.
And yes, it's noisy, but being on a CG I'm worried i'll completely lose the sound of the engine if I put earplugs in.

HJC FG-14 Phoenix:
https://www.sounddistribution.co.uk/images/fgpb.jpg
Paid £150 from Infinity.
Fits about as perfectly as it could really and I really like it.
Got a CS-12 for the other half and it's OK, but the extra cash for the FG-14 is worth it in terms of the smoothness and tight fit of the visor and general comfort and feel.

Nitro because I am a sucker for a macho name and have an unresolved desire to be an American Gladiator...

and not because I am cheap. Smile £30 for two years, will probably replace it this year depending on what I see at BMF etc.

Visor started having issues at speed after the first year, but for the first year it was the best helmet I have owned.

Schuberth S1, because it's quiet, oh so quiet and with plugs in it's positively tranquil and it leaves me free to concentrate. The vents are good, the fit is excellent, and it's just so right when it's on. The visor has coatings inside and out, an internal flip down sun visor, adjustable pads, washable liner, 1.5Kg and reflectors. I added a genuine Schuberth breath guard and it's almost perfect now, price £230-350 depending on where you buy it.

Shoei X-Spirit.

It's light, quiet and fits well.

Not really a Kagayama fan but his lid designs are cool and I got bored of plain lids.

Cheers

I retired my £500 Arai (bought for £250 in Japan) for a £200 AGV Stealth (£150 after a Gavin discount Very Happy ). After doing a fair bit of research it became clear that the actual protective difference between a retail £500 helmet and a £200 item is a non-issue.

Shoei Wayne Gardner replica.

I dont like buying things that 1000 other people have. Saw this one, liked it, brought it. Although it needs replacing this year really, so I'm on the look out for another, something a little different. I might get a plain one sprayed up to my own design.

AGV TiTech in Rossi colours.

Because I like the design and it's a very protective lid, good reviews from mags etc.

Arai for the road - just fits right and feels good.

RST for off-road - because it was cheap, but made by AGV which costs 50 quid more.

Where did you bring it from, or have you BOUGHT it?

sheesh.. kids these days...

I have had HJC helmets since the day I passed my test, ZF-7, AC-11 (which I crashed in and it did VERY well) and now an FG-14 and CS-12, both of which are comfy. The FG-14 is marginally less draughty than the CS-12, but the CS-12 has better aerodynamics, as the FG can introduce some head-wobble at speeds you probably shouldn't be doing anyway.

HJC seem to fit me well, and for the price, I can't complain, so I got an HJC moto-x lid too, for greenlaning and enduros.

As it happens, I'm in the market for a flip-front, and am considering the FS-Max, but noone seems to stock it in white in the UK
