ive just done a complete custom loom on a streetfighter, it wasnt too hard, although time consuming, you can just unplug your clocks ect and tuck he wires under the tank, run the bike speedo,
and run the light wires out the front,
i would run a oil pressure light as well, small led somewhere or a little plate with a couple of idiot lights eg indicators and neutral light, you can just wirethem back to the plug under the tank in a nice tidy taped up group
easy really. ____________________ the humans are dead

Hmmmmz, you are fast becoming (in my eyes) somewhat of a legend! I have an external one and it looks crap, really letting my bike down at the moment Where can you get an inline reducer (or is it simply a section of pipe with a smaller diameter?) Obviously I would have to source another radiator too but that will be done cheaply on ebay me thinks, thanks Hmmmmz
Joe
P.s. I've nearly finished with the wiring, only came in cos I needed a number 2 really bad ____________________ Current Bikes 650 Honda Bros, VTR1000 Firestorm // Past Bikes: Sachs Madass 50/110cc - Bandit 400 - FZR750

Is the indicator wired up the right way round? LEDs only work with power going through them one way.
Probably a short circuit on the fan circuit somewhere, usually just a case of hunting it down. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

Right this is doing my nut, matters made worse by the fact that I am not too good with electrics
As it stands now... I have sorted out the blowing of the fan fuse (When extending the thermostat wires I mixed them up ) However, the problem of the indicators remains, no matter what I do, I've tried swapping round the wires on the indicator too. Also, another few problems to arise... The rear light (the brake light though) is on all the time, this might be down the the rear brake switch, I haven't had a look yet.

Stinkwheel, why did you have to do that, I was just about to go to bed, now im on my way to the kettle (Not a GT750 unfortunatly) the type that makes coffee. After a quick scan it looks pretty cool and I really want to learn a little about this for future projects (One for definate, a highly tuned XS650, well 840, to be re-phased, high comp pistons and all manor of other goodies clad in kenny roberts flat tracker form) the other is going to be a simple hard tail custom, I'd quite like to go XS650 as its simple and reliable and has what I consider a good looking motor - I'm soooo of subject its untrue
Thanks for all the info guys, Joe ____________________ Current Bikes 650 Honda Bros, VTR1000 Firestorm // Past Bikes: Sachs Madass 50/110cc - Bandit 400 - FZR750

It'll be redundant wiring from the American models. Some American vehicles have the indicators on all the time with a dull glow as 'position lights' with a brighter flashing on and off to turn. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. Slow flashing usually means too much current draw or a flat battery.
You are using 2 LED and 2 standard flashers right? Try the rear one with a 10w rather than a 21w bulb and see what happens.
If they are flashing between 60 and 120 flashes per minute, they are road legal. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
