Ok rs125 rattle could be caused by a variety of things chances of it been top end are slight it could be a loose power valve cover, or the piston could be detonating , easiest way to check is to lift the cylinder head off and look at the crown of the piston and see if it looks like its been shot blasted around the edge, if so then its getting hot and your getting premature ignition.
does it start on start up and at tick over and stop when you raise the revs?
if so it could be the generator behind the right hand casing cover these are a a pig if they have been forced off as they use an interference fit to keep them steady and then lock on with a nut the woodruf key just helps line up the timing. check to see if it loose.
or if it doesnt rev and you get a really big vibration check the balance shaft timing gears behind the left hand casing these are only nylon/plastic and if one toothe is missing that will throw it out.
if niether of them post back and ill see if i can help any further
