I saw one for sale on Gixer Junkies but even second hand prices are ridiculously high for not much more over an Akrapovic etc. What are they, £745 new? You must be fucking rollin in it, IT sods.

i wish they made them for sv 1000's

ive been thinking of making some proper little growlers for my sv, chop the pipes off under the bike, reweld the flanges back on and fabricate some cans out of stainless sheet and maybe get some carbon sleeves and cop them to fit Smile

I must say, i'm slightly disappointed. I was hoping to see Growler; growler of the biological kind.

Nice exhaust though.

Fitted Cool

Step 1: The right tools for the job
https://www.urbanracing.net/bike/1000/tools.jpg

I was contemplating using the Angle Grinder when i was struggling to get the Powervalve off Laughing
I got it fitted and fired the thing up and F**K.....ING HELL!!! is it loud, i could feel my lungs vibrating with it on idle alone, I gave it a few blips of the throttle and then noticed the windows around the area fill with bodies staring at me so that was it, as tempted as i was to redline it i thought it unwise or i'd end up with the old bill at my door (Old folks home next door). Just aswell i bought the baffle kit with it as i may need it

https://www.urbanracing.net/bike/1000/racefit2.jpg

A bit dark for photos so i'll get some during the day and post more.

The quality of the exhaust is excellent, not one rough edge and everything fits perfectly.
The whole thing is Titanium with a Carbon sleeve

Not sure whether that year thou does but i know the K6 onwards do, most after market cans usually end up with pipe work made up in such a way that you can take the cat off.

Looks fucking brilliant, saw an 04 ZX10R the other day with one, shot past me about 60 in a 40...can't have had the engine at more than 5K revs and it made my ears bleed Laughing

Took the bike out to get some pics but the camera battery was dead.. i must have left it switched on when i had it in the garage last night Mad

Anyway, I'm just back in after a short run on the bike and it sounds awesome. At one point i dropped from 6th to 3rd gear for a sharp corner and it was like several nukes going off behind me Laughing
I will do my best to get video and sound clips online asap to let you hear this thing.

It's not a straight-through pipe, is it?

I remember meeting a guy with a K1 Gixxer 750 at Ace Café, and he had a growler. We had a little "noise test" and my stubby on the R6 was louder. Wink

The K5/6 1000 does not have a cat, its a straight through pipe.
