A picture/photo of your wheels may give a better idea of the task ahead. ____________________ Living the dream....on my little 'ol CG125 |

most people would sand blast wheels,
You wouldnt wet and dry to bare metal
we just use dry paper/pads, as you'd need some harsh grits to rip off al the old paint
Etch yes, wait for it go go off, then put a layer of real primer over the etch, dont wet and dry unless you mucked it up, then arnt you going to add some paint?! bare metal isnt pretty,?
Hope that helps
and ye powdercoating is the best way as so many stone chips otherwise ____________________ Past: '05 Peugeot XPS '99 Aprillia RS125 '94 FZR600R

I thought that was the norm to remove bearings, and either fit new bearings or reuse the old ones (if viable) whilst doing this..

Just leave the bearings in, do all the work then fit new bearings. Either that, or turn-up some blanks. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
