I bought an NSR 125 for £350 in mid january, it was a bit of a shed, but it ran! Plus it had a load of spares.

When I got it it was a mixture of Black, pink and yellow Sick So before I rode it on the road it went black and white.

Now i'm sick of it's generally shit appearance, i've decided to fix it up.

This is how far I am atm:
https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Image021.jpg

It started like that

https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Image019.jpg
https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Image022.jpg
https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Image023.jpg

Basically, i'm turning three bits of fairing, into one, then having a smooth nosecone. I think it should look ok.

The mirrors are also going, as I couldn't see shit out of them anyways.

I'm riding it like this atm though, it doesn't look too bad!

https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Image014.jpg

I'm not too sure what colour this will be going yet, still got plenty of work to do!

I'll keep this updated though, as it gives me something to do/a history of the project.

Any suggestions are welcome Smile

Nice idea, I think if you have any money lying about you should get a nice black matte and gloss paint job, divided by white stripes Very Happy .

I'm gonna be spraying myself, so anything too complicated is out of the question Sad

I can't really afford to pay a proffesional, although saying that I don't know how much they charge. Anyone know?

which year is it mate? im currently doing a 1990 bike over and youve inspired me to consider doing the single nose cone thing mostly because the two mounts on the underside of the fairings are broken!

Looks like i'll have to invest in some fibreglassing 'stuff'

It looks a very nice job though, i dont know why they even made the three piece nose cone, i'll be keeping my mirrors though!

It's a 91, and the idea only came to me when i realised I couldn't be bothered to do some precision fibreglassing to fix a lug!

They're horrificly ugly bikes, no paint job would ever make up for it! They look cool ratted though.

I beg to differ!

Considering it's previous popularity and high sales figures. I admit some people put stupid paint schemes on them though...

Small update -

After sanding for a bit, decided to give it a spray of primer to see my high and low spots before getting the filler out -

https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Image000.jpg

I think that green is gonna be part of the colour scheme!

Then, I did some filling, a lot of sanding, gave it another shot of primer to see what else needed doing -

https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Image001.jpg

Only a few bits left until this panel is done, then only another 4! Laughing

Update -

Dropped the bike today, on the way to my fucking theory test Evil or Very Mad
It cut out, then I slid off on a muddy woodland entrance I was planning on stopping in Laughing
here's where I crashed:

https://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w93/benthornes/Imagej.jpg

Damage done:
Snapped off indicator,
Bent clutch lever,
Something is shorting out Sad
and my pride Laughing

I'm keeping this bike off road now until I finish it. I got the scooter that you can see in the first pic working again so i'll ride that around whilst I fix this.

Bye Bye bulky Honda indicators Smile

I haven't ridden with that front on yet btw, that was just to make sure it still fitted, plus i'm putting the wing mirrors back on.
