Hi All.

Just when you all thought I'd died. I Haven't.

But, I've had to give up biking altogether on medical grounds.

Can't do shoulder checks or lifesavers anymore because of a bad back. So, I decided to sell up before I became another motorbiking statistic Crying or Very sad

That's bloody shame that is, I'm tempted to say it's never stopped millions of cagers but that's probably irresponsible. Twisted Evil Good to see you back here, stick around, your knowledge will come in useful.

Ello TOG.

Glad to hear from you again! I've having hell with the DVLA on medical grounds.

Sorry to hear about your back, have you tried contacting the NABD? They might be able to help you by suggesting something you'd not thought of before.

Car drivers get away with never doing shoulder checks or lifesavers. Im sure if you were careful, and only went out on quiet roads at weekends, only doing left turns, you would be ok.

Trike with bag arsed mirrors to cover the blindspot.

A trike isn't quite the same as a Bike but its a damn site better than a car.

As above, not sure that a trike/side car should make much difference really - apart from the fact you'll maybe do a bit more damage to anyone you have a collision with and be in more trouble if lands ontop of you Confused.

Same with a car really.
Just blind spot mirrors and brushing up on good observation practices could be worth considering.

At least like said you probably won't become a negative statistic.

Nice to see someone admit to knowing when they can't go any further.
(I don't intend that to sound malicious)

Just because you have chosen to stop riding doesn't mean we don't want to see you here regularly. The bikes may go but friendships last a lifetime.

Stick around for the craic.

Sad to hear your giving it up,

How about a list of the bikes you've had, from those humble beginings upto present day. Wink
