I'm looking for a new 125 for November when I'll be 17, but don't really know any good ones out there... I've looked at the Derbi GPRs and Sendas and they seem pretty cool, and the same with the Aprillia RS.
Anyone know of any good ones out there? Or have any info on the ones I mentioned? |

CBR125 is quite a decent bike as are RS125s. I think the RS cost a bit more but both have good reviews. Also Check www.ebay.co.uk and www.autotrader.co.uk

Ummm... Yeah anything but the CBR lol
Forgot to mention I'm 6 foot 2 and I'm a little bit too big for some bikes. |

As long as it ain't a cruiser styled one I'm not too picky really.
Suppose I like sports more than anything though |

Get something that's two stroke rather than a four stroke.
And get something second hand rather than something new.

the TDR's are extremely slow and slugish im sorry to say, just thaught id add that in since a few of my friends own them, i have a brand new RS 125 (yes i know about the value etc. etc.) and its an amazing machine, ive beaten plenty of much bigger bikes than me (250's 400's) on corners there a dream to ride, took me about 2-3 days to get used to the riding position but id recommend it to anyone but just make sure its looked after properly, also the nsr is a nice, quite quick bike but as said before its slightly lower, also the mito's are mean machines!
hope this helps |

pah they may be s;low compared to a rs 125, but i wasnt comparing a tdr to anoth 2 stroke was i?!!! no!
as for a rs125 they are a little toy bike, he is 6'2" he'll look like a giant on it, i look like a giant on a zxr750 let alone a weasly little 125.
i stand by the tdr or even a dt as the perfect 1st bike, ____________________ the humans are dead

my friends must of had some really bad luck then, they have crashed on-road and bent handle bars, bent forks, broken indicators, broken the actual peice that hold the brake leaver etc. on (if you know what i mean) but i supposed thats just bad luck, wasnt fast crashes only about 15-20mph apart from that i cant fault them they are very decent bikes to ride and look the dogs bolluks
P.S. only reason i chose an RS was because i wanted a bit more speed than a scrambler + i could barely touch the floor on a scrambler (got about 1 toe on the floor) and i didnt like the feel of the bike so i never felt safe on it.
thats my 2pence. |

i have to admit KTM's are rapid machines but it depends on what purpose the OP wants the bike for? if its a fast cornering bike then go for a sporty bike, if its a fun wheelie machine then go for any crosser it all depends really, dont always go for bikes that look nice trust me, my first 125 (honda mtx 125) didnt look pretty at all but i had tons of fun on it doing wheelies (not real wheelies but did them for a good 30-50 meters) i only went for a lower sportier bike because im a short-arse
i would recommend a crosser style bike but it depends what you really want the bike for. |
