someone told me they where pretty much the same engine, is this true? im strungling to find exhaust systems for the cb400 super four so i was wondering whether a cbr400 exhaust will fit. also what does it mean if you fit and exhaust system but the engine needs re-jetting. i was wondering what that meant. cheers, josh.

Are you trying to fit a full set of headers, Or just an end can...

Any end-can can be fitted to any bike really, it is possible.
Cant tell you about the header pipes fit. I know the NC29 pipes can be made to fit the NC23 you just have to adapt the mounting lug at the rear of the system.

ask over at the 400 grey bike forum. Someone will tell you. Failing that, if you are local, ive got a shitty old set of NC29 headers you are welcome to if you want to trial fit them before buying a new set.

So is there something wrong with the stock system then or do you just fancy spending £££s to try and squeeze a couple more HP out of the thing? Laughing

just to see what it sounded like to be honest. sounds stupid. not really to fussed about the extra few HP to be honest. the bike would have restricters in it. and from what ive heard they corner pretty nicely. i just want something i can piss my neigbours of with. lol.

gonna say, that CBR 400 downpipes wont fit on a Superfour, mainly because of the frame and the fact the Superfours engine is a lot straighter in the frame so the angle of the CBR downpipes means they don't fit.

best bet is to get a set of standard pipes for the Superfour much like i did and get a link pipe made up to a slip on exhaust is normally easier and less hassle.

And yes they sound the nuts with a straight through exhaust

CBR exhaust:-

The headers look a lot "deeper" on the CBR pipes, spacing looks similar mind.

Hello, first of all let me introduce myself, I'm new to bcf.
I'm Nampus from Holland, I ride a cb400 super four (1992)
I have a question: Can anyone tell me the brand and the price of the exhaust on the pictures?
Thanks
Nampus

Shocked What a beautiful exhaust! And 70000 is something like 440 euro's! (is it titanium? it looks like it)
I love the look of it, but never thought I would be able to afford something like that. The only decent japanese one I could find which could be affordable to me was the Moriwaki one piece, according to their website it's about 67000 new. But there's nothing that looks better dan titanium exhaust pipes imho.
The cheapest exhaust I could find in Holland was a stainless Over racing one which was 640, and that didn't even look half as good as this! And the next one I could find was a predator from the Uk.
This looks amazing!!!!
