bike insurance for a DT125RE

Alright folks

I'm 25 and just had a quote for a 56 plate DT125RE for £450 through bennets.

Thought it mightbe cheaper.

What do you folks think ?

oh I do have 5 points as well

TBH its you that pays it so it is whether you think it is expensive that matters. As said in the other (few hundred) insurance threads, get quotes from other places and compare.

Bennets are wankers Mad

If you want to change anything on your policy after you take it out with them they will charge you an additional min £25.

I was told it would be fine when I took the policy out to change the reg no to manx plates when I got it manx registered, then when I did they charged me to ammend the number.

£105 tpft.(gy125)

My local agent wouldn't ever charge for this slight change and the only reason I went to Bentshots was it was so popularly advertised.

That quiet expensive for your age, how many NCB you got ?

Ive recently renewed my dtr-e ('06) which was 610 i think, thats with 2 accidents (1 Fault, 1 Non-fault) 1 year NCB and me at the age of 19

Bennets have big advertising budgets to pay.

migth be because you have had an accident ? or more coz its a more valuable 56 plate ? , or how many miles are you putting in ?

i just insured a gleaming 98 S reg dtr , for £159 fully comp with a quote, and norwich union is the insurer , £150 excess, 100k legal cover and rac breakdown cover, a like for like replacement bike straight away if needed, i can drive any other 125cc that i dont wown 3rd party

im chuffed to bits !!

im 29, 0 ncb , 1st bike and passed cbt on wednesday, i dont drive a car or have a car license , had my provisional since 1997 ,and the bike had a datatag,and a datatool compact 2 alarm,and kept garaged

I always get expensive quotes from Bennets, the type that went you say your cheapest so far they say they cant even come close.

I always do ok with Carol Nash and tried the bike insurer and got my lowest quote (TPFT) with riding other bikes as well TPO Thumbs Up
