Seat's quality good work dude, my dad did exactly the same for his BMW F650 only the skin was black. Really keeps your bum comfy i have to admit!
Starting to look quite serious now, the big fluffy seat lets down the hard as nails Paris-Dakar image though ____________________ wizzzard wrote: Imagine God just stopping by, tidying your front room up and then quietly letting himself out again. i guess this would lose you the sheep look tho.
what bike is it underneath all these extras ? |
if the hide gets wet it will rot over time.
Was a stock Honda XR650R when l started, did,nt like the ktm adventures due to the complexity and reilablety issues, the BWM GS,s Honda Africa twins were too heavy off road and bikes such as the Kawasaki klr650 and Suzuki DR650 were too underpowered the dual sported XR650R has a good mix of on/off road performance its light/powerful and has a simple soild reliable watercooled honda single cylinder engine.

its a standard trail tech speedo/rev counter with a indicator/hi/low beam surround lamps.
the top dash is a water temp gauge with a switch to bring on a fan on located on the right hand radiator and a horn.
on the bars l,ve got a xr only switch gear, touratech garmin 60csx mount with a power socket, kill tether, and a key switch for 12v dc power. ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650,KZ750 Present:G650XC,C12,CRF450X,1190ADV |

been a busy few days making sure everything is ready, even now l,m going over things and managed to lose 5kg of the rear weight by only taking what l will really need (reasonable 15kg now, would love to see a GS rider match that ).
front weight is,nt much of a issue unlike the rears weak sub-frame mounts and is probley around 10-12kg which is mainly tools/spares/cable and disc lock, but the bike handles fine.
heading off at 9am to newcastle for the 18hr long ferry to stavanger have made a rough route though norway/sweden including dirt tracks and a recommended 100km arctic trail so will see how it goes and hopefully post some updates on the way other wise l,ll be back 6th july ____________________ Past:NRG50,AF1125(x2),NSR125RR,ZZR250,CX500,VFR400,KR1S,ZZR600(x2),CB400N,YZF1000(x2),KH125,Z200,FX400R,CBR954RR(x2)GPZ500S,GT550,VFR750F(x2),RD350N,XR650R,CBR600F,CB250,KDX250,YZF750R,CRM250,400EXC,KLR650,TTR600RE,DR350S,R100GSPD,RGV250,VMAX1200,DL650,KZ750 Present:G650XC,C12,CRF450X,1190ADV |
