Have a look at your powervalve control unit it should read TV-78 if its unrestricted and TV-124 if its restricted. Its near the battery under the tank hinge roughly.

If the powervalve says TV-78 and the CDI has CI626 on it then its not restricted. Has the intake plate been restricted?

Does the powervalve move at different rev's?

If not i'll check the compression etc.

depense on your sprockets , with 14x36 you should reach 160 km/h at 11000 rpm (with a 17" rear wheel)

when was the last time it had a rebuild??
it might just be getting close, im not too sure if the nsr's are susceptible to carbon build up in the exhaust like other 2 strokes, but that quite often slows them down quite a bit

KBS which denotes a foxeye model
CI626 (not CI626A) the other writing has no matter

about the RC/valves control unit unrestricted is KBS (as above) TV78 the other writing has no matter
note : if some of you buy one on EBAY , item from earlier model will not fit and they are marked KY4 TV78

like all 2strokes, they wear out, and require rebuilds, not model specific, Very Happy

they require de-coke and at least rings change every 7500 miles , more than that is at your own risks and you may have your power going down

yes , cleaning all carbon from , top piston, cylinder head, exhaust port and RC/valves . carbon deposit will make your engine weaker & hoter . the rings must be changed because the barrel is coated with nikasil which is a carbide far much harder than the rings and consequently the rings wear out much faster than the barrel

i doubt your bike is from 1994 , look your serial number it should start like ZDCJC228....... otherwise i am right , especially if it starts HDJC20.......
CI572 is fitted on JC20 , UK models (in france it's CI589C) a green/white wire (security stand) is missing on these CDI
mister kaup it's better you go away with this stupid answer . did you try to afraid or was it a joke ? in both case it shows a short brain
