You don't need a passport for any of those (although you may need some form of photo ID).
No point going to the Isle of White, you'll have ridden all the way around it in about an hour...........
IOM is nice but expensive to get to and quite expensive when you're there too.
Ireland would be a good bet. Plenty of ferries and some interesting places to visit once you get there I'm told. Never ridden over there myself though so can't vouch for it.
However, for a good ride on brilliant roads I would personally recommend the west coast of Scotland. No passport required, no money to change, easy to get to (if a bit boring) from most of the UK, you can get the ferries over to some of the little islands if you want (or go over the bridge to Skye), your breakdown cover will still apply etc etc etc. ____________________ Sod falling in love, I wanna fall in chocolate. |

Like babyyam says, don't bother with Isle of Wight. I've been there and while its nice and pretty, it's hardly breath taking scenery.
Isle of Man is different. Has big hills and great roads (especially the mountain road )
Scotland once you get past the Glasgow / Edinburgh 'border' becomes amazing. Only been up there a couple times on holiday, but it's the best scenery in the UK and up with being the best in Europe along with the Alps.
Lake District / Dales for a few days good riding too ____________________ Full Motorbike License - GS500E '95 |

thanks shay, i'll keep that map saved and deffinatley look into it a lot more when i know when things are happening if it all goes ahead.
deffinatley like to ride through the likes and all that, i've only really done one mountain, which is Treorchy and so i want to get out and about a lot more. it's just trying to find the money for it and the right day where i can ride with someone instead of on my own, i find a long ride is much better when you know when you stop for tea there is someone to talk to and enjoy it all with.
thanks a lot, think i'll do a scotland tour if anything now, even means i can take my sat nav with me to find nearest petrol stations etc.
thanks a lot for all of the replies - all been really helpful |

only been to snowdonia (or passed through it) in a car on my way to our holidays... all i can say is the scenery is breathtaking.. especially if you hit it at sunrise... infact it was sureal.

Another vote for doing Scotland
Do the west coast if you can. Include Skye if possible. Certainly get as north as you can get. Do the Applecross road. All good stuff.
Can camp just of the road if needed although there are camp sites and B&B if you want some luxury.

NC (3rd gen) just looks like crap, IMHO ... First gen is nice, but like a go-kart... 2nd gen (NB) is all the great things about the first MX5, but with decent driving |
