At long last ive found a loud can for my speed 4. Its off a 1200 bandit, which i was told would fit my bike, but it didnt take long to realise it would need some 'alterations'.
Basicaly the 3 mounting holes were too close together, so after drilling and tapping 3 new ones it went on lovely Thumbs Up
The best bit is it only cost me £20. It needs a good polish, but its a lot smaller and a lot lighter than the standard triumph exhaust. Its also a hell of a lot louder, so i think i might be sourcing a baffle soon Laughing

I'll go to Performance Triumph in Cheltenham mate, they will install the fuel map for a race can for me for a tenner, might pop over to lee motorycles to see if they've got a baffle i can use though.
After changing back to the standard can today the bike goes much better, it picks up from 7k properly again Laughing

Very noice! Hopefully I'll get out for a ride out soon and get a chance to hear it, as I said in my thread about the RVF I may think about this exhaust https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovgPVfMEYWs
I just need advice on Jetting/Fuel maps etc and what effects the exhaust may have, I'm just after the sound/ styling really... A performance increase isn't necessary really, advice please? Smile

Hi mate, the rvf will be running carbs, so it would benefit from a dynojet kit and a dyno session if you put a loud can on it, but it might run ok - best thing is just try it really.
I know lots of people running lairy cans with no problems on stock fuelling, its just a bugger mine wont. But then it is a straight through race can.

Hi mate, Triumph have a fuel map for the speed four with a race can, all they do is plug in their super duper computer and load it onto the ecu, no tuneboy needed.
My triumph dealer told me this when i was enquiring about race cans, they said they would do it for me for a tenner and it would take 10 mins Thumbs Up

After the lessons I learnt with the NSR, I just want to keep the bike running nicely really. I appreciate its a bigger 4T so hopefully it won't be subjected to the same toture as my previous fuckbuddy, but it'll take allot of carefull consideration with these. Thanks for the info.
