By putting fully synth into my hornet because it's all they had. I usually run semi-synth?
They didn't have any semi in the right weight so I just picked up the fully synth. I figured it would be fine, but someone off another forum said you shouldn't swap between semi and fully synth, so it's got me doubting myself.
What's the opinion on here?
Thanks

No harm will have been done.
Similarly, mixing semi- and fully-synth causing it to "congeal and thicken" is a load of codswallop. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

It will be fine, although I did that once with my FMX, it didnt help my gears at all (seemed to jump more often, not catching or something). Changed back a day later and my bike is still fine 1 year on. |

Agree that synth wont affect the engine, but what about it causing clutch slip, or is that a thing of the past these days?
My mate and his cbr wont go anywhere near synth for this reason alone. |
