... And helped a 16 year old pedboi wearing shorts, no top and his helmet propped on the back of his head.

Ok, I lie - It was a normal 16 year old on a 50cc geared motocross style bike with some kit on, but anyway Wink

Saw him pulled over on the pavement on the other side and gave him the old thumbs up / thumbs down signal and he just looked at me in a sort of "what the f**k?!" way Very Happy
So turned around at the next junction and asked him what was up. Turned out it was a flat tyre so I was a bit helpless and he was pushing it to the petrol station about a mile away to pump it up so I just said bye and headed off home.

Got home and saw my foot pump on the steps, so I got straight back out and found him about 10m further on - obviously making good progress Laughing.

He looked dead chuffed when I mentioned that I could pump it up for him and follow him for a bit to make sure he was alright.

So did my good deed for the day with the bonus that hopefully he'll stop for someone in future now Thumbs Up
That was my first time selflessly helping out a biker so I feel good, although the proud feeling could be counter-acting the selflessness Wink

Well done mate, very nice of you to do that.

I pulled over at some traffic lights once to help someone on a cbr125, a girl who was a leaner and being a girl didn't really know much about the bike (ppl only take an interest if the thing actually interests them).

Turned out she had just overheated the bike and I managed to start it. Said she should check the coolant levels or go to a garage and have it checked out.

It made me feel good. Don't often get the chance to help someone out like that. Saw her at asda 10 mins afterwards and she thanked me.

I'm in Winchester at the moment - the 'pedboi chavs' ride around with top hats and cigars, so no need to worry Laughing

I was riding in a T-shirt + Shorts today Shocked. I figure if i adjust my riding accordingly i am more likely to have my wits about me, nice and cool and relaxed, rather than sweaty and frustrated, perhaps making stupid overtakes just to get moving and some air over myself and the bike...

Good on you for stopping today Thumbs Up Karma

Once had a R1200GS pull over to help me when the Senda was having problems sparking, couldn't do anything to he helped me try and bump it again, then went on his way.

I always do the Thumbs Up Thumbs Down thing when a bike is at the side of the road. (and carry a compressor under the seat as the rims are leaking!)

I saw someone standing at the side of the road once and rode past, then I did a U turn and went past waving, then I did another U turn and rode past holding a sign that said "wish you were moving like me?" then shouted "should've joined the RAC".

It was a good day.

Oh no, I don't think so. Locking innocent kittens up? I think not. Wink

Weather has been so nice, unfortunately riding across edinburgh right now in anything other than the right gear would be suicidal. Road works for our shiny new (and entirely useful) tram system.

Its not the bumps, subsidencies or raised iron-mongery but the other road users having no idea what lane to be in or what roads are open for cars and/or busses.

I suppose I include myself in the afore-mentioned category, I ran a red light this morning. Well, actually I didn't, the pole holding the traffic lights up had been knocked down; I could've ended up sat there all morning. Crying or Very sad

Thumbs Up
