Hello all,

Soon gonna be starting the motorbike thing. I'm interested in something with a bit of off road capability for 'green-laning'.

I like the look of the DT125's and I've seen one locally:

DT125R
Year 2004
Miles 7250
Price 1,899

Is this good value please?

p.s. I'm probably gonna be asking you guys lots of silly questions soon too Smile

Oooh... what should I go for please?

I'm tall, 6'2"

Not a huge budget and as I'm a Noob needs to be 125.

And another question (told you I'd have a few)... where on earth can you buy new DT's?

I look on Yams website and cant see them anywhere!

Also, would I be better asking chatting in the New Bikers threads?

For the price of a new bike you could get yourself through the DAS test and buy yourself a much more capable bike than a DT125.

DT125 should be ok greenlaning I'd think.

As Joe suggests, though - for that money you could pass your bike test and get something like an XR250, which isn't too much heavier, but is more suited for green laning.

Yeah, been chatting with some of the guys at work and they reckon the same.

I better take this to another thread, thanks for the input all.
