well, I think I read on GJ's about cleaning the inside of your helmet if your liner isn't removable.

So took the plunge and got some Johnsons no more tears shampoo, got the shower head in the bath and started scrubbing.

this is from using the helmet to and from work everyday for years on end, I work in a warehouse and get bloody filthy so the helmet gets dirty too.

prepare...... for the bath!!!!!!!!!!

yeh it's safe as long as you don't use anything too strong, Jonsons no more tears is what most people use.

and DON'T dry it on a radiator or on top of the oven etc. Laughing

If you have a dirty helmet when your a teenager it's worse, i thought i had acne at one point, i was using a 3 year old helmet that i'd used alot, as soon as i changed helmet you could see the difference. Laughing

I'm pretty sure that helmet in your avatar is a car helmet... Doesn't have as good visability as bike ones.

And OP, that's sick Laughing

I was refering to bENN's helmet, but wouldnt there be lower visability due to having a smaller visor (larger chin bit)?

How did that Arai Chaser fair after the bath treatment? Mine could do with a good clean...

Also, it has a removeable liner Thumbs Up Laughing No idea *how* it comes out though.

Yeah fine, needs a couple of days to dry though. I'm not too sure if it has a removable lining tbh. I've tried removing it but nothing would budge.

I just used baby shampoo and warm water. Everything turned out brill.

Thumbs Up

I read in one of the bike mags that a good way to dry them out is to put it on its side and have a fan directed at it. I forgot to do this last time and it took a while to dry as it wasn't that warm.

1st time I did it was after a very hot day in Italy - was a really nice when I put it on the next day as it was lovely and cool on another really hot day so dried quite quick.
