Dirty Helmet!!! Dirty Dirty Simpson!!!

well, I think I read on GJ's about cleaning the inside of your helmet if your liner isn't removable.

So took the plunge and got some Johnsons no more tears shampoo, got the shower head in the bath and started scrubbing.

this is from using the helmet to and from work everyday for years on end, I work in a warehouse and get bloody filthy so the helmet gets dirty too.


prepare...... for the bath!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a dirty helmet when your a teenager it's worse, i thought i had acne at one point, i was using a 3 year old helmet that i'd used alot, as soon as i changed helmet you could see the difference.

How did that Arai Chaser fair after the bath treatment? Mine could do with a good clean...

Also, it has a removeable liner No idea *how* it comes out though.

I read in one of the bike mags that a good way to dry them out is to put it on its side and have a fan directed at it. I forgot to do this last time and it took a while to dry as it wasn't that warm.

1st time I did it was after a very hot day in Italy - was a really nice when I put it on the next day as it was lovely and cool on another really hot day so dried quite quick.
