More importantly, does he actually have a chance of a victory on Sunday? I know it's a UK track that he knows well but is that enough to counter the equipment defecit?

Are we just dreaming, like when England play footy...

What equipment deficit? Since a few races in he's had the pneumatic valve engine which was the only major difference between the factory bikes and Tech3.

He is in a 'satellite' team, so AFAIK he doesn't quite get the full factory support (like Rossi).
Regardless, it's great to have a Brit racing at such a high level, and he's certainly very committed and his aggressive SBK style riding is certainly entertaining.
Good luck to him i say.

The same one that always exists between official Factory teams and the satellite teams... Wink

I know it's a satellite team but it's a very well supported one. As I say, the only major difference between Tech3 and the factory bikes was the pneumatic valve engine which they had around 3 races into the season. The bike should be good enough to win races.

Well Edwards certainly know's how to get the best out of it in qualifying. The bike is a very good bike it would seem, they just need to get it to a point where it can stay on the pace through the whole race.

Thumbs Up

There is no equipment defecit, Edwards and Toseland both went to the satellite team on the agreement that it would receive full factory support, which it has.

Yamaha are a very strong team this year with 4 quality riders and a sorted bike, just a shame Lorenzo is having a Stoner first season, he'll be one to watch next season. I'm looking forward to Donny, it'll show whether JT has a hope in hell of getting anywhere in Moto GP.
