That has got to be one of the most useless photos ever.
Anyway.
Ignore the spark plug threads they are of no consequence. What you want is a beige / light brown colour on the core or electrode. As said, black soot is rich. White deposits or signs of a burnt electrode indicate a weak mixture. The plug is fine and its not causing the high tickover. Make sure the idle adjuster is wound all the way out/down.Try disconnecting the choke if its a cable and push it closed.
