Hi everyone, just thought I'd announce my presence, been reading through ya posts for a couple of days. Just starting to look at getting into biking (well I've been looking for a few years but just starting to seriously), so not even a CBT or provisional sorted yet but I'm hoping for this Easter - trying to work out if it's best to do the CBT on my full car license and then send off for the provisional, or get the provisional first (i guess i cant do CBT while my license is in transit?)
Also, can anyone recommend the best kind of horrible crappy 4 stroke commuter to go for. I'd really love to go for an NSR but i don't think theres any chance of that - student budgeting (especially for insurance), ease of repairs and getting something which wont worry the hell out of my mum (at least at first) point in the commuter direction :p
Looking at the CM125, CB125 and i guess CG125 at the moment as possibles - other suggestions much appreciated.
Well I think I've bored you guys enough now
Cheers

Welcome aboard.
Ok on your Driving license see what provisional entitlements you have, you may already have the A category on there and as such you won't need to send off for a provisional.
Once thats sorted out you then do your CBT as they need to see your license etc.
As for a solid 125, my suggestion would be the cg125. Though there are lots of other types. ____________________ The BCF's very own Party boy! Though he's getting old and feeling it!

Welcome to the forum!
I did my CBT on my full car license. No problems there at all. Your best bet though is to phone the DVLA and ask them. The number is 0870 240 0009. I think you need to ask for the CBT department.
Good luck and happy riding! ____________________ Current bike: VTR1000F Firestorm. Previous: Firestorm (written off) - XJ600 Divvy - NSR125 - DT125 and a load of offroaders. |
