Erm, never done a wheely on a 125 and needed a steering damper.

Infact very rarely done wheelies that have slapped that much, it's the high speed ones that tend to, which means getting to 4/5 gear at least on an nsr I would suspect.
Steering damper is really neaded on powerful bikes quick handling bikes, when properly pushed over slightly dodgysurfaces, or when seriously pushed on good surfaces (ie a race track).
Hmmm, probably should get one for the r6 Confused

Now, if you're pretty good at stoppies there's some call for a steering damper to stop the rear drifting on long ones.

A clutch is remakably useful for wheelying a 125.

The problem with 125 sports bikes is that you generally have to get them high very quickly. I have never been brave enough to get one high enough to let it stay up on the power... straight up and down pretty much.
I could get the nsr pretty high with a bounce and power, probably could have got to the balance point with a bounce and clutch, doubt I could have held it there though.

Can't see why he wouldn't be able to wheelie the bike nicely, as G said, as long as you get it up high quickly, then you should hold it up. I've seen some pics of a kid on an RS50 holding it up at the 'real' balance point.

Not the best bike to be pulling thoughs tricks off on though i.e. fairings etc.
