Was meant to go get my new tyres fitted today finally!

Thing is I get up and I'm met with:

https://www.okas.co.uk/~hex/snow1.jpg
https://www.okas.co.uk/~hex/snow2.jpg
https://www.okas.co.uk/~hex/snow3.jpg

So should I go? Laughing

That would be a no then. Rolling Eyes

Infact do I even bother going to work today... think that will be a no as well. Laughing

I was meant to be in Altrincham at 8 this morning and woke up to a similar scenario at 5.

I decided to cancel the appointment and cycle my mountain bike in for a bit of fun - Just arrived in the office in a mild state of hypothermia (after 4 tumbles and a close interjection with a milk float!) to be met by the rest of the guys calling me a lilly Livered Lightweight for not making the journey oop North Crying or Very sad

Pish - we had the same situation here - I still rode the 10 miles to 6th form! Rather entertaining it was too!

I don't know, these old'uns. Tsk.

Yeah but going on that thing in your avatar is a bit different to going on a CBR600 Very Happy I looked out the window this morning and saw the snow and then thought about my ankle and thought... fuck it. Trying to ride a C90 with one foot in snow is just asking for trouble.

Hi

Well, at least you got some half decent snow. All we got was something that looked a light frost on the grass, and a bit of soggy slush on the cars.

All the best

Keith

Yeah I agree with Keith! Your area looks really pretty and all I got in Kingston was a couple of measly snow drops!! And so I've had no excuse and had to come into work!! Sad

snow is horrible stuff!!! It stops me biking!

I decided to try my NSR in the snow a slush before going out. With the front brake applied I was able to freely push the front end left and right. I bloke in a van drove past me saying "f*ck that mate!"....says it all really.

When I woke up this morning for my medical there was snow on all the cars and what looked like ice on the road (but turned out to be just wet). If it was snow like Hex had I would have had to cancel and probably loose the money I paid (£411 Shocked ).

Luckily all went well. Smile

For the most part yes Very Happy , I'm just waiting for the X-ray results to come back but it's unlikely for anything to go wrong there.

Interestingly I found out that my right eye is a borderline needing correction. If it did need correction then I still would have passed the medical I just would have to wear glasses when flying.

Also, when I failed my RAF pilot selection I beat myself up over it for ages and this minor eye defect would have meant I would have failed anyway. So I can stop blaming myself. Very Happy Karma

Plenty enough to keep half the team members in the base all last night and the rest on alert. Shocked

I think Lima was taking patients to and from hospital though... normal ambulances "can't cope with the snow" apparently. Laughing

On that particular snow day I took my bike up to the local park and spent all day donuting and the other general tom-foolery that comes with snow and bikes.
