I saw one of these in nightingales and wondered if anyone had one and what they were like.

I'm not talking about whether this is a good one, just posted it as an example.

I'd have the hyosung any day.
Look and feel lovely, the only problem is that it's a 4 stroke twin = not the fastest machine out there (about the same as the cbr125 e.t.c.) but imo one of the most desireable 125cc bikes on the market...

Go onto google and get a few reviews, nothing but good comments on them..

Thumbs Up

I've known people who owned the unfaired version.

Consensous was solid, relaible but rusts like a Suzuki at the seaside and is pretty poor at holding its value.

One guy, Richard, has kept his in the back garden as a cheap back up to his SV650 and now his Daytona. He says he still enjoys riding it in town.

I would seriously consider one, if I had the spare cash for it.

If you do a search on here (when it works, obviously Rolling Eyes) for "Hyosung GT125" (without the quotes) you'll get some interesting threads.

Maybe of interest there's Hyosung Gt125 Comet Review and My Hyosung Comet GT125.

Hope this helps Thumbs Up

Very expensive and very heavy; you can get a better bike for a less money in most cases, so you'd have to really like the design and name to buy one, in my opinion.

And for half the price you could buy a bike that goes twice as fast.

Thumbs Up

Which bike is that then? I presume you are talking about a learner legal 125.

He's probably talking about a derestrictable learner legal bike (and I suspect not meaning 'twice as fast' in regards to top speed Smile ).

Yeah I don't get their pricing structure - for another £100 on top of the 125s price you can have the 250...

125 = Captive learner market. Hence the mark up on the prices. The 250 has to compete with all the other bikes out there once you have passed the test.
So will be priced down to suit.
