I'll be swapping the FZR for one, maybe a 250, when I go up to uni.
(Cheaper to run, attract less attention from thieves etc) |

You went through a C&S in 5500k miles on a CG , do you ever lube it? The one on my speed four is 12k miles old and still has a bit of adjustment left that has a dam site more power, I think in 5k miles of owning my RXS I had adjusted the chain once and it was far from new to start with!
I had the same tyres on it too I could hardly notice any wear on them after 5k miles. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

Nope it is sat there so we can blip the throttle and watch the needle bounce from side to side when we are bored.
I'm inclined to say that the CGs lack of a rev counter is a benefit to new riders. ____________________ Kal...

No, its there to let you know what revs you are doing, so you can tell if you are caining it through the redline.
A few cgs has tachos, think they were import versions.
I just wait for the noise of valve float before I change up on mine, that tends to work.
Cheers

I look at my rev counter more at low revs, I tend to be aware of when the bike is hitting the redline, as it screams at me. ____________________ colin1 is officially faster than god |

I had my CG nicked a while ago and really struggled finding a decent replacement. Just got one, H reg with 650 miles on the clock!!! absolutely immaculate
I use mine for work, 24 mile round trip, never had a problem in the morning with either bike, always starts even in the middle of winter.
I would recommend them to anyone new to biking.
They are great for learning basic motorcycle maintenance as well, I do almost everything myself. |

my only regret about getting a CG, is that its almost too bulletproof.
Since moving on from my CG i cant find a bike that can handle the same amount of abuse, im killing bikes every 6 months
Cheers
