Stu,

I mention a company in reading in this thread that will do it. they are very good and will colour match. Not sure of the cost of respraying on its own though, because I had a panel repaired. Smile

around £160 for a scratch repair, and a bit rebuilt with fibreglass. Also I think they touched up one of the decals too. Smile

I got mine done by a fella called Phil, he started up his own spraying company a couple of years back and when I binned my Mito he did a full respray on it for around £300 aswell as putting on all my decals (over 60 of them lol - though imo it doesn't look that much!) and he said if he'd have known he'd have done the plastic welding on it too for a little extra if he'd known it needed doing but I got that done elsewhere, regrettably! He did do it as a favour for a friend which is why it was such a good price but his prices normally are very cheap anyways so perhaps give him a try if you can't find anyone more local.

It's called 8 Ball Paint and he has a website here at https://www.8ballpaint.co.uk. He's just outside of Bolton up here in Lancashire so perhaps give him a ring as his contact details are on there. By the way, that's my Mito on the site, he did an excellent job on it in my view, and all his other work I've seen has been great too... Top bloke too, really easy going and loves his bikes, last I heard he had a GSXR750 and for fun an RD350 hehe.

Very Happy Hope you where happy with it.

Stu, get in touch with some local car paint shops - the smaller one's.

If you go to them and just say how much for that (point to the bike part) tell them that you'll give it them off the bike etc.

You'll probably find for a single colour it will be cheep. Colour matching isn't hard to be honest (any painter worth his salt can mix paint or match paint - Scottys paint is a BMW colour).

All you need to do is find a small paint shop - not one of these big arsey garages. Smaller shops raleigh on word of mouth to get them more trade and as such normally do a very good job.

Can you actually repair motorcycle fairings though? Your website makes it look very much a car repair service. Confused

Thanks for the interest, your right my sight is mainly targeted for the car industry as that is where 98% of my work comes from. However now that I have secured this sector and the challenges that it can and has thrown at me I am looking at diversifying.

To answer your question on whether I can fix fairings? yes I can.

The plastic, that most fairings are made from can be fixed using the same technics and tools that I would use on a bumper and providing you supply me with a paint code for your bike I will be able to match the colour spot on.

However I dont deal with decals and the application of. I am strictly a repair and refinish guy.

No matter how badly torn or damaged the plastic fairing is I should be able to repair it.

Quotations are free and valid for 30 days.

Do you have any details of examples of your work on bike fairing as that is what most would want to see. Smile

You'll be best adding your site to the Links sections. Smile

Got to be honest with you no! only got the digi camera late last year so the repair sample page on my website is relatively new. I will see what I can do.

Thanks for the link suggestions I will see what it entails.
