 |
|
Just posted this in the UK National section regarding an article on the Bulldog Bash:
| Quote: | | Quote: | Extra police officers will be on patrol and roads will be shut as part of a "significant policing operation" around a biker festival, a force has said. |
and
| Quote: |
Officers said they would be searching people attending the festival. |
Is it just me, or does this look like a perfect 'opportunity' for coppers to harrass those attending? The murder last year wasn't even at the event, it was on the M40.
I'd be quite concerned about getting searched 'in case of firearms' and busted for your personal weed. Or stopped and your bike gone over with a fine toothcomb for owt they can pick at.
Not good news imo. |
After the devastating cancellation of the Rock n Blues Custom show due to the actions of a handful of selfish murderers, the Derbyshire police and a hysterical ignorant media, this to me seals the fate of the larger rallies.
How long before the medium rallies go the same way? At Farmyard this year, me and my mates went to ride down the long track lidless aiming to dismount at the road, park up and walk into the town.
Nope, we couldn't do that. Seems the coppers were planted halfway down the track busting people for not wearing helmets. And breathilising etc.
Seems noble enough, but what we were prevented from doing was neither illegal nor reckless, and imo part of the rally experience.
The police now have a foothold thanks to the retarted actions of the murderers and the resulting media drivel that ended in the stopping of RnB.
It's a sad day and I am not looking forward to the Bulldog Bash, or even next year's rally season, half as much as I should.

Its just more and more evidence of the government trying to control us, nazi style.
The problem is that most of the general public bend over and take it up the arse, then say thanks - its brainwashing.
Off on a tangent slightly, but yesterday i was watching a repeat of top gear on dave, the one where james may races the free runners through a city.
There was an awesome display of skill and bravery from the two blokes, only at one point the camera focused on some old trout scowling at them for daring to not conform to the masses.
I tell you, the older i get the more i love going against 'the system'.
They might think they are controlling me, but im fighting back.
Fuck 'em |

Quick reminder of your rights if you go to one of these events and are unfortunate enough to get searched...
Hopefully you wont need them, but just in case
| Quote: |
Being stopped & searched
There is no requirement to give your name or address when you are being searched, but the police can legally take your photograph at any time, and under Section 61 Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) can fingerprint you before arrest, but only if they suspect you of committing an offence and can’t establish your name and address or think you have given a false one.
Before any search, under Section 2 PACE, you must be told:
The officer’s name and police station
The purpose of the search
The legal grounds for the search
That you are entitled to a copy of the search
The police can search you and seize property on the
following grounds.
Section 1 PACE 1984 permits the police to search you or
your vehicle at any time if they have reasonable grounds to
suspect that you have stolen items, offensive weapons, or
items that may be used for burglary, theft or criminal damage.
They cannot search through personal papers. Ask the police
what their grounds for suspicion are.
If an order under section 60 Criminal Justice & Public
Order Act 1994 is in place, the police can search you or
your vehicle for offensive weapons in anticipation of violence,
regardless of whether they suspect you. Again, they cannot go
through your papers.
If an order under section 44 Terrorism Act 2000 is in
place, this allows the police to search you or your vehicle for
items associated with terrorism. No reasonable suspicion is
required. The police do have the right to search through your
papers.
Section 43 Terrorism Act 2000 permits the police to
search you or your vehicle for articles associated with terrorism
if they reasonably suspect you to be a terrorist. Ask the police
what their grounds for suspicion are. They can search through
your papers. Terrorism includes serious property damage as
well as violence.

If they don't follow the rules you may have some grounds to d them for unfair treatment etc.. but if it comes to this, best consult a lawer |
