Hi

My bandit 600 starts ok with choke. Once warmed up it keeps stalling. Eventually after reving it abit I managed to get it going with no choke.
But everytime I stopped it stalled.

I took it for a run for about 15 miles and it drove ok but when I got home it was idling at about 400-500 rpm and then stalled.

The bike hasn't been used for about 3 weeks.

Just wandered if anyone can offer me any advise?

Many thanks

Mark

ps I don't know much about bikes mechanically

Turn up the idle to about 1000rpm.

Cheers, please could you point me in the directions of where the idle screw is?

Thanks

it's on the left side of the bike, it's a plastic button sticking out at the back of your carburetors

might be of use.

the idle is under the carbs, bang in the middle. do it when its warm and burn your arm.

i did mine when it was cool and then only made slight adjustments when warm in order to save skin

Cheers all I will take a look after work.

I'm just a little bit worried about adjusting idle as there may be an underlying problem and me adjusting the idle could be just hiding another issue.
But I suppose they wouldn't put it on the bike if they thought it would be an issue.

I will have a go later Thumbs Up

Right I think its sorted.

I fiddled with the idle screw but I don't think it made much difference. I took all the spark plugs out to check colour which they seemed ok.
So decided to get some fresh fuel

I took it for a run and really did blast the hell out of it.

Got back and it seems to idle at around 900 rpm, so I think its ok now.

Thanks for all your help Thumbs Up
