Hi,
Can someone give me some help.
Trying to get the fork seals out, have tried methods suggested in haynes manual - which is pulling the stanchion hard from the lower leg so the inner bush pushes against the top bush.
Any ideas?
Sorry for any typos, sitting on my workshop floor using a blackberry.
Many thanks in advance!

you have unbolted the damper haven't you?

traditional forks you have to use a long implement to slide down and inside the stantion to stop the damper turning, whilst unbolting it from the bottom.

Unbolt it from the bottom? , this bolt is almost always seized btw, and its not pull its yank as hard as you can , if it doesn't come out after 10-20 hard yanks , you want to heat up the fork leg, and have another crack at it.

Thank you!
You made us re-read the manual and realise the error! Karma will be given when I'm home!

Your most welcome, its an easy mistake to make if you've never had forks apart before.
